Poo! I have joined BBJ in the land of the sunny south-east. Forecast here 16 degrees and raining. No wonder I left, never to return (except in cases of extreme arm twisting!). Have fun guys and I might catch you at the zoo!

Hi Fozzie: I might catch up with you for Dawn service at the War memorial if you are going to be there. Sadly, at 9:30am I would have moved on to other Anzac day activities.

Enjoy the zoo mate. The cats and other animals will be there the next time I visit.

Have a great Anzac Day everyone.

Cheers,

Mick.

If you are not sure, I'd say bring it along. It may give you more keepers.
Personally I don't take a tripod unless I plan to do long exposures. But that is just the way I like to shoot and I couldn't do it without the VR. :D

assuichef/Warren - I can accommodate you with longer fast glass @ f/2.8.

I am no certainty for the Dawn Service.

Meeting out the front of the War Memorial in Kintore Avenue between 9:00-9:15am.

hi Fozzie, Daniel, Big V et al

hope to join you on tuesday - new enclosure sounds great.

I'm just weighing up pros and cons of 80 - 200 f2.8 and the VR - your input will be valuable.

cheers

rookie2 - should you make it, you are most welcomed to try out the Nikkor 70-200VR and judge for yourself, as against the 80-200 rented during March for your kids sport.

thanks Fozzie

would love to give the VR a real hands on test on the D70 but feel lens lust may result.:)

the 80 - 200 I rented was in fact the older push-pull version where as the one I'm considering is the later 2 ring version that should meet most of my needs in the medium to long term.

will keep you posted re tuesday.

cheers

Thank you Daniel. I thought I would try from a different perspective, somewhere near the middle ground of the new 'Immersion Enclosure'. Can not wait for the female to move to the area next door, and after a while of getting to know each other, the male and female together :)

Hey fozzie, did you see the Advertiser used the picture of the great grand father pushing the little one as well, except they had the little boy waving the flag.

Virgs - yes I did see it in the newspaper. As we discussed, the money shot of the ANZAC DAY March.
