Annual coffee meet

Postby Reschsmooth on Wed May 15, 2013 12:27 pm

The list:

Gerry will bring drinks, beverages and juices. Will also be arriving with Pavoni (may not leave with it)
Matt will bring Filo who will bring salad
Cameron
Gary
Michael
Ozi
Glen (for coffee only)

I will roast up some lamb - if you would rather eat other meat, please bring along.

Would others please bring:

Dessert
Sweets or something for the coffee bit (we will have some)
Bread rolls

Ordinarily, we would have a coffee meet in March. For the last few months, we had been looking for a new place, packing, moving and unpacking into the new place.

Consequently, it didn't happen.

I will, therefore, put it up for EOI for a coffee meet in July sometime. It can't be the weekend around the 20th.

Let me know availability and preferred dates. Suggest a Saturday.

Sounds good.

We'll also be having a dinner-meet somewhere (restaurant) in the not too distant future. I'll start a new thread for this presently.

I am going to keep my ear to the ground regarding this one, as always I am interested, but for the moment I am still working Saturdays.

Looks like I already had a thread.

Looking at first weekend of August from about 9am. Either Saturday or Sunday are good for us, so will go with consensus.

Hi Patrick, Is there room for one more? Are you going to have any of that super expensive coffee made from monkey poo? If not I can train my dog to eat coffee beans, should be nicely processed by August?

Hi Glen, plenty of room for the old crowd. I was going to try getting the boys to 'process' the beans for me :)

"Boy processed beans..." ummmm... pass.
However as my Giotto has just self-destructed I'll be in desperate need of a coffee by August
I have been known to drink coffee on either Saturdays or Sundays so happy either way.

Given that, perhaps the coffee meet can extend to a BBQ with drinks (and salad) after for those who wish to hang around?

As an aside, I have an electric lawn mower that is sitting unused. It is an Ozito brand but does the trick. If anyone wants it for themselves or anyone else they know, they are welcome to it.

Looking good, Patrick could you edit your first post in this thread to add the final details, may clarify the thread.

I can bring drinks, which I think I also did last year, thus this could well be my specialty :o

Soft drinks and juice? and maybe some carbonated water for those north shore types..

i will also bring the pavoni along and some recently burnt.. i mean roasted beans..

Coffee meet kicks off at 9:30 or thereabouts and the BBQ from about 12pm, but I am flexible. Just don't rock up at 5pm! Or on Saturday. Or at 6am.

I will PM my address as it is top secret (except to those who know it).

'K, so everyone who has said they are attending should have my address. Guard it. Reveal it to no-one on pain of death.

Now, for expectations: I have not had a chance to roast coffee since moving, so we will be drinking Vittoria beans that have been sitting on the shelf of Woollies since 1983. Just kidding. The beans will be bought, but sufficiently fresh.
